    • Ford gives the F-150 a 3.0 liter diesel for 2018 - Power Stroke turbo diesel 3.0 V6

The half-ton pickup truck segment is noticeably absent of a bevy of diesel options. FCA offers the Ram 1500 Ecodiesel and it was pretty much the only game in town. That changes for 2018 with a new 3.0 liter diesel V6 available for the F150.

With 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque this will be a great option for those that need to tow. Tow it can with a rating of 11,400 pounds.

The iron block makes it heavier than the Ecoboost motors. It is also more expensive than the 3.5 liter Ecoboost V6 by $2400. The Ecoboost 3.5 V6 makes more power and torque but if trying to tow comparable weight it will drink a lot more fuel.

The F150 diesel is available to be ordered later this month.
