    • VMP Performance 2018 Ford Mustang GT baseline, tune, intake, and E85 Dynojet results

The 2018 Mustang GT with its revised dual-injection Coyote V8 continues to impress. As if the 800+ whp when turbocharged didn't impress you or the numbers the car is putting down on the strip with bolt ons.

VMP decided to show their tuning process on a Dynojet going from a baseline, to a tune, to intake, to E85.

The baseline figure was 421 whp and 400 wtq. Here is what we see with a tune only:

Very nice gains and they are revving it out quite a bit more.

Now how about with an intake?

455 whp and 420 wtq is great from minor mods.

Now what kind of difference does ethanol make? A big one:

That is Shelby GT350 Voodoo V8 level power but with 60 more lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Wow.

Add headers and you're at a dead reliable 500whp in a brand new car in the $40k range. Very nice option.
