    • $119,995 makes the 2019 C7 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 the best performance bargain in the automotive world

Is $119,995 dollars a lot of money? Sure it is. However, it is also a bargain in the automotive world for a 755 horsepower car designed to be a high performance terror. Think about it, the Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 488, Mercedes-AMG GT R, Porsche 911 Turbo, and Nissan GTR Nismo are all far more money.

Yet, they all will get trounced by the new ZR1 whether it be around a track or in a straight line. Frankly, the only car that will offer more out of the box (short of million dollar plus supercars) performance is the McLaren 720S which starts at $285k.

That makes the 755 horsepower ZR1 a bargain.

The updated LT5 motor offering dual fuel injection with the larger supercharger are alone worth the price increase over the Z06.

The convertible will run $123,995. Either the coupe or the drop top is well worth the money.

You don't have to get the wing...

There are two different wing options for sure and that looks like the big/high one. I didn't hear that you could order it without one but just a bit smaller wing would look good (and for the record im fine with the big one, it is functional for sure).

I want one of these cars. Even more impressive they are offering it with a manual. No new 10 speed because they didn't design the A10 for the C7 chassis and there is no transaxle version yet.

The manual ones will probably be pretty damn rare.

The CF shaker hood is awesome too.

I also really want one of these.

I am curious to see if the dealers will mark them up at all.

I won't do a pre-allocation, but might pick one up if a dealer brings it in, depending on things.

I was thinking about a used AMG GT S, or a newish c7 z06. However I agree with @Sticky2 100% in that this is a incredible deal for the money.

Why did chevy stick with the 8spd auto over the vaunted 10spd unit?

I believe they said the 10-speed wouldn’t fit.

        Probably a blessing in disguise.

they said 10 speed wasn't designed to fit in the C7 platform and that they havent' designed the transaxle version (yet).
