    • Stock internal Hellcat breaks into the 8's with a Whipple 4.5 liter - 8.9@154.8

The Hellcat V8 is simply incredible. Those OEM forged internals sure pay dividends when swapping out the factory 2.4 liter twin screw blower. How about swapping it for something that offers just over an additional two liters? Like a 4.5 liter Whipple?

Hemituner Performance did exactly that and the result on their Challenger Hellcat is a 8.982 @ 154.85 in the 1/4 mile:

Insane. They didn't even have to open the motor! Factory internals.

Yes, this is boost only. No nitrous:

We picked up almost a full tenth in 60ft from our 8.9 pass on Friday but fought a misfire all day at the top of each gear with the extra 2 lbs The better air density gave us. Super happy though I think I found the boost limit for stock engine as looking at the racepack logger in detail it seems to be picking on cyl 5 and 7. This weekend gave us critical data that helps us continue to evolve what we can offer for the platform. Special thanks to Tony Nastasi and John Nobile for getting me lined up on Fri and Sat. I also need to thank Dustin Whipple and Joe Rivera for the support on the most crucial parts of this being the Converter and Supercharger.
Maybe a 4.5 liter Whipple is exactly what the Jeep Trackhawk needs?

Insane. I’m assuming this is an auto? Wonder if there are any transmission upgrades (they mention the converter in the quote).

Do they give pricing anywhere? Used, low mileage (<5k) Hellcats are well below $50K now (in fact, I seem to recall some non low-mileage ones even below $40k!). Maybe you could be in the 8s for less than $60k?

It is an auto and they did some upgrades but I'm not sure exactly what they did.

The blower itself is $6700 from Whipple: https://whipplesuperchargers.com/ind...product_id=390

If I had one I'd already be rocking that blower. Just a monster!
